Elvira

This guitar lesson demonstrates how to easily play Elvira. Written by Kenny Rogers back in 1970, Elvira was a great hit song for everyone who played it. The biggest success story, of course, was the Oak Ridge Boys, who did such a great version of the song that they are remembered as the greatest singers of Elvira. We will demonstrate how to play Elvira in the key of “G”. The chords you will need are: G, D, G7, C, Bb, and D7. The song is deceptively simple, which shows how a great song writer works. This song depends upon a good voice to make the song sound good, but the chords are easy and we will show you how to make them effective. A couple times through the lesson and you’ll be singing Elvira for all your friends.
