Four Strong Winds

Four Strong Winds, a great song penned by Ian Tyson back in 1964, is easy to learn and to play. We teach this song in the key of G and you’ll need only to learn G, C, D, and Am. This song was a hit for just about everybody who recorded it, from Johnny Cash to the Chad Mitchell Trio to John Denver. For a time it was reported as the most popular song in Canadian music history. The song tells the story of a man leaving home and he’s wants his lady love to meet him where he’s going. He’s not having much luck convincing her to join him.
